Shoot Wibaut Photo Safari
There are many different ways of dealing with the city and it’s challenges. We believe in change that comes from the bottum up, from the people. City Counselor Floor Wibaut (1859 – 1936) believed this as well. He was responsible for building many of the neighborhoods in Amsterdam that we take for granted.
To celebrate Wibauts’ 150th birthday, we set-up a city -wide Photo Safari. In 8 neighborhoods in Amsterdam hundreds of people took up their digital camera’s to capture their everyday surroundings. Armed with a treasure map they went into their neighborhoods. Afterward, everyone headed back to Trouw Amsterdam to upload and start the competition to select the wining photograph. The results we’re amazing, Amsterdam lives through the eye of the beholder.
